Rick's new 29th Infantry Division
My collection is just about entirely German. I dabble in the club's shared Soviet Army (a fittingly socialist approach to owning a gigantic pile of everything Soviet), but the German models and armies have always held the majority of my interest. However, the upcoming Operation Overlord Event seemed a good spot to step out of my comfort zone and contribute something Allied to the cause. I chose an Assault Company from Overlord, picked up the 29th Infantry Company box, some LCVP's, a few extra blisters and got to work!

Storming the Beaches at Adepticon!
The Battle Badgers played a bit of hooky this weekend. Rather than spending Friday coding in our respective offices, we all took a vacation day, packed up the truck with all sorts of goodies, and headed on down to Adepticon to do some Rangering!

Easy Green Update
Its time for another trip down to the french sea side to take a peak at the progress the guys at Outpost Gaming have made on Easy Green Beach. If you're looking to play on this gorgeous bit of board, be sure to make it out to Operation Overlord 2014 at Outpost Gaming in Kenosha this June.

Operation Overlord 2014 Information
At 12:01 am June 6th, 2014 dice will start rolling at Outpost Gaming in Kenosha, WI. They won't stop rolling until at least 72 hours have passed, resulting in a new Guinness World Record.
It's the 70th anniversary of D-Day. As such, we plan to primarily play Flames of War, focusing on the events of Operation Overlord (covered by Overlord and Atlantik Wall). Anyone is welcome to join for as little or as long as they wish.
Flames of War isn't the only game welcome - space will be provided for whatever other games people want to play. Bring your favorite game, or play one from our library.
This post will be continually updated with information about the event.

Battlefront's new plastic Mark IV's!
We're taking a look at a part of Battlefront's new plastic range today, GBX79, the plastic Panzer IV H platoon. I've always loved the Panzer IV. Everyone knows and loves the big cats, but my heart has always belonged to this little workhorse.

The Bones of Queen Red Beach.
Next on the list of tables to build in preparation for our Normandy event is a lovely little section of Sword Beach. This is just a quick look at the starting steps of our Queen Red Beach board, and a few notes on how we do it.

New Battle Badger Beach Toys!
We're getting ready to storm the beaches here at Outpost Gaming. Here's the day's take!
We found a local store that still had (and still has actually) a BUNCH of dice tins! So we quickly snapped up everything relevant to our Normandy centric interests. Also pictured are Rick's new 29th Infantry Boat Sections, a few sorted Ranger platoons for Pointe Du Hoc, some DUKW's, a box of LCVP's, and a special order box of LCM. I didn't make it to the shop in time to get pictures of the whole pile before the lads started cleaning and sorting the blisters, but the stack of bases do a fine job of pointing out how many little soldiers we've got to power through in the near future. Wish us luck!
